Rosa Penne Rigate & Vodka Sauce

Cook the pasta according to the package directions. In a large skillet on medium heat, sauté the onions and garlic in butter until golden brown. Stir in the prosciutto and cook for 2 minutes. Crush the tomatoes by hand and add. Stir in the spices and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the cream while stirring for 2 minutes. Add vodka and cook until there is no strong vodka scent present (usually 4 minutes). Add the cooked pasta and grated cheese. Stir until completed coated. Serve immediately.
